You should know what happens to an idea before you type it into Hindsight. This is the plain-English position for the private beta.
Your idea stays yours
You keep ownership of the business idea and material you submit. Hindsight does not claim ownership of it. We do not sell founders’ private business ideas, and we do not use them to independently launch competing businesses.
What Hindsight stores
Hindsight stores the information you submit, your research process and your resulting report so the product can complete the analysis, let us diagnose beta problems and improve the service. The application database is hosted using Supabase.
Hindsight also builds reusable market intelligence from public research—for example, a competitor price or a public regulatory requirement. The intention is to reuse public market facts, not another founder’s private concept, brand, secret formula or distinctive idea as a template for you.
Can other Hindsight users see my idea?
No public feature exposes your submitted idea or report to other testers. Beta feedback and tester details are held in a private owner view. Hindsight may reuse public facts it discovers while researching a market, but private founder-specific details should not be surfaced as another user’s market evidence.
What about the evidence?
Hindsight is designed to separate sourced evidence from interpretation. A source link does not mean every word on that page supports every part of the recommendation. The report should show what a source supports and the relevant evidence excerpt, so you can inspect the connection rather than simply trust a list of links.
Is Hindsight advice guaranteed?
No. Hindsight is decision support, not a guarantee of commercial success and not a substitute for legal, financial, tax, regulatory, medical or other professional advice. Markets change, public sources can be incomplete, and AI systems can make mistakes. You remain responsible for decisions and should independently verify high-stakes matters with a suitably qualified professional.
Before a full public launch, Hindsight will need formal Terms of Use, Privacy Notice and appropriate legal review. This beta explanation is intended to make the current product behaviour clear; it is not a substitute for those final legal documents.
